The first day of the regatta is over. There were more than 150 sailors taking part in today’s races and they had to face not only the competition but also very hard and windy weather conditions. Despite the sun and relatively high temperature (27°C), the wind (5-6° in Beaufort) was the biggest challenge, especially for less experienced sailors. The strong blows didn’t keep away even from the more experienced ones, which resulted in broken masts or even the earlier finishing . What is important and emphasised by some of the coaches, the conditions were hard but let the sailors to get more experience.

Tomorrow is the second day of competing and it seems that in better conditions, according to the weather forecast. The wind is supposed to be weaker.
